9th Grade / Freshman Academy Orientation

Thursday, August 31 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

All new 9th graders and their parents or guardians are invited to visit Furness High School! You will be able to meet your future teachers and staff, tour the building, and learn about our programs. You will also learn about how to be a successful high school student.

Students should wear appropriate school clothes. (For example, you do not need to wear the Furness uniform, but please do not wear tank tops, flip flops, or very short skirts and shorts.)
Students should bring a parent or guardian, but please leave younger siblings at home.
You will be able to order or buy school uniforms, if you wish.
You may wish to bring a water bottle, notebook and pen.
